We came here on a Monday at 6:30pm. Seating inside was jam packed but we were able to sit outside. We ordered bucatini carbonara and truffle pizza. It took some time for the food to arrive (the restaurant was very busy) but the food was delicious! If you are in this neighborhood I would recommend stopping here for dinner. The staff was so friendly and although it was packed the food did not take as long as it could have for us to get our food.

Nice restaurant! Different way of running things, you order tip and pay for your food upfront then they give you a stand with a number, once your food is ready somebody comes to give you your food. You also grab your own utensils seasoning and water. But we kinda liked it, we got chicken Alfredo, spaghetti, and meatballs, pizza, and a slice of the rosemary focaccia bread that comes with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. The bread was good but no rosemary flavor at all eventhough I can see a few rosemary leaves (odd). Everything else was yummy; the pizza however was a tad too salty one of the meats on top had too much salt. Maybe add some onions to it or jalapeno to decrease the saltiness.

Very good Italian sub! Not the best in Sacramento, but definitely up there! I'd say probably top 5. This one has the Calabrian chili spread which has some serious kick to it. All around good sandwich for sure. I'd say the highlight of the sandwich was the bread. It was amazing, soft and fluffy and didn't fall apart. Also, they have the best cookie ever created. The caramel cookie sandwich will make you cream your shorts. We came in on a Saturday at noon and had zero wait, plenty of tables available. Obo is a great spot!

*** Vegetarian Review *** Food 4 stars Friendly Service 5 stars Environment 5 stars Parking 3 stars Would I come back? Yes. They have a beet salad and a farro with walnut salad that look pretty amazing. Tips for first timers. 1) Parking can be difficult during peak hours. There is paid street parking, but I always try their free designated parking lot. There are about 30 spots so it goes fast. 2) Order at the counter, but the menu board is behind you. Take a photo to keep the line moving so you can be prepared. And then post the picture to help the Yelp community. 3) Plenty of vegetarian options. 4) Ask for complimentary hot chili oil, chili paste, and freshly grated cheese. Truffle Mushroom Pizza (Grade A) - plenty of mushrooms and just the right amount of cheese. The pizza is large enough to share with 2 really hungry people or 3 people that pretend they're not that hungry. The dough is soft, but not floppy. The crust is delicious. It stays soft and gooey like a fresh pretzel. Cesar Salad (Grade A) - A bounty of chopped Romaine lettuce. They top it with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and fried shallots. They forgot the croutons in my photo, but by the time we realized, wasn't worth asking for a side of croutons. They include a 6 minute egg. We get ranch dressing to keep it vegetarian. Mac and Cheese (Grade D) - if Mac and cheese gets a bad grade, you probably know why. Mushy. I will say if you like the KFC style mac and cheese, this one's for you. Plus, it wasn't hot and it coagulated very quickly. Let's put it this way ... there were two of us. We only ordered a side and we've both only had a few bites and didn't bother to bring it home. Bottom line. Friendly service. Christian was super helpful and schooled us on the chili paste hack. Awesome environment. And this being my 3rd visit, I can vouch for the pizza and Caesar salad.

If you temper your expectations appropriately, this place is solid. I wasn't expecting a sit down, fancy restaurant, so that influences my perception of this place. I'd venture to say it's more casual, but definitely saw some people on date night. This place served food quickly and was solid. I enjoyed the meal, but also knew it wasn't going to be the epitome of fine Italian dining. They provided a hefty amount of meat on my pasta, the short rib pappardelle. It was lovingly called by someone I know as an Italian version of birria, for those curious about the taste and texture. The salad portion was humongous, which was a great value for money. I love the fact that water is self-service. Those places always have a soft spot in my heart. Lastly, mushrooms were really solid.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the downtown area! It's not the most traditional Italian space, it has more of a modern, rustic, and coarse-grained vibe to it. The place also has a clean, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Just a heads up--it gets really busy during lunchtime, so be prepared for a bit of a crowd. The food here is delicious!! It honestly feels like you're walking into someone's home and being served a delicious, home-cooked meal. I always go for a combination plate, and the classic meatballs, creamy polenta, and roasted broccoli with a rosemary lemonade are some of my absolute favorites. The staff is friendly and the service is nothing out of the ordinary. They're accommodating and really go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I genuinely like visiting this business from time to time, and can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes!

Ah, OBO Italian Table & Bar, what a delightful discovery! This charming spot, with its cozy café vibe, is a proud member of the Sellins family. Picture yourself surrounded by the aroma of freshly baked pizza and perfectly cooked pasta, with a beer bar just a stone's throw away. My wife and I indulged in a mouthwatering pizza and a delectable pasta dish, savoring every bite. The flavors transported us straight to Italy! If you find yourself in downtown Sacramento and craving a quick, delicious meal, don't miss this hidden gem. Buon appetito! Service is quick and efficient!

We have been a few times and it's always predictably good/great. The veg sides always surprise me w how sneaky good they are.

Love the bright ambiance and the fresh food. Think gourmet lunch line with a dash of a posh feel. Ever walk into a place and want try more than one thing? Lucky you can do a salad trio! All the pizzas, salads and sandwiches are delish. I haven't tried any hot entrees to give you a fair review on them.

OBO' Italian Table & Bar is a great spot for summer lunch or dinner, to grab some pizza and cocktails! Upon arrival there is street parking around the business, and they also have a private parking lot with some spots too. This business is located directly next to Kru Sushi, so they share a lot space with them. The inside is a stunning, almost barn, vibe with self-service seating, pitchers of lemon water to self serve, and almost a deli style display of their sides and desserts. The sides seem to be rotating, as I came in around 1pm on a Monday and the options were limited. However, we opted for the broccoli and it was OUTSTANDING! Never had such well made and seasoned broccoli before. I ordered the carbonara pasta and my partner ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo. Both dishes were just okay for us. We felt they could use more cheese and flavor. This is just a personal preference. However, I have tried their pizza in the past and it's a hit! I would definitely say if you're visiting OBO' for the first time, try their pizzas and cocktails (and broccoli) to have the best experience!
